Library
I've enjoyed reading since I was a kid, mostly novels exploring love, history, politics, and mystery. Alongside fiction, I also enjoy reading technical books, particularly on topics I'm learning about or looking to improve my skills in. Here's my collection of technical books:
Deep learning
Deep Learning with Python ↗
Currently readingFrançois Chollet
I started reading this book after my internship at Instabee, having come across countless recommendations for it within the AI and machine learning community. What I particularly enjoy is how it combines the technical foundations of deep learning with broader, more philosophical discussions about artificial intelligence. It's a great read for anyone interested in understanding not just how deep learning works, but also the ideas behind it.
Forecasting
Rob J Hyndman & George Athanasopoulos
I first picked up this book on my brother's recommendation, shortly before starting my internship at Instabee. During the internship, I revisited it and eventually read it from cover to cover. It's an excellent introduction to time series forecasting, especially for beginners. Despite having studied economics at university, I found that this book helped me develop a much better understanding of the mathematical foundations and principles behind forecasting.
Wireless
Wireless Hacks
Rob Flickenger
During my time at Truesec, I developed a strong interest in the red teaming and digital forensics sides of cybersecurity. This was one of the first books I explored during that period. I particularly enjoyed its hands-on approach to wireless technology and hardware experimentation. Looking back, it was also one of the things that sparked my interest in working with hardware and building things myself.
Security
Ethical Hacking: Offensive & Defensive
Ömer Çıtak
I read this book during my internship at Solvent, when I was beginning to explore cybersecurity more seriously. It gave me a useful introduction to networking, security concepts, and the fundamentals of ethical hacking. It was a good starting point for developing my understanding of the field and exploring its different areas.
